If you’ve taken pictures of people and they are recognizable you are going to need a model release. It’s simply a form that you have your model fill out. You simply scan it into the computer and upload it along with the photo. Shutterstock provides model release forms you can use. I usually use the model releases that Shutterstock provides for all of my stock photos on other websites as well.
Adult Model Release
Minor Model Release
You also need a property release for pictures of dogs, houses, copyrighted buildings, etc.
Property Release
You should have one of these forms submitted every time you have a photo shoot. If you use the same model in two different occassions you should have two different model releases. Having one releaes does not give you the right to submit any photo you take of them other than when they signed it.
